Two of the most successful reality TV shows are going strong. Survivor moves into its 12th season in the first quarter of next year and The Amazing Race takes on its 9th installment. This is so cool. =]

That's a whole lot of people who go racing around the world! And if you thought that that was many...
Survivor - 16 castaways
Survivor: The Australian Outback - 16 castaways
Survivor: Africa - 16 castaways
Survivor: Marquesas - 16 castaways
Survivor: Thailand - 16 castaways
Survivor: Amazon - 16 castaways
Survivor: Pearl Islands - 16 castaways
Survivor: All Stars - 18 returning castaways
Survivor: Vanuatu - 18 new castaways
Survivor: Palau - 20 new castaways
Survivor: Guatemala - 16 new castaways, 2 returning castaways
Survivor has over a hundred castaways! I think the count, up to Palau, was 150. WIth Guatemala that pushes it to 166 castaways (ie. people to have played the game). And that's excluding returnees from All Stars and Guatemala. Whoooo!
Although facing waning viewership, The Apprentice is proceeding with filming of its 6th season.
The Apprentice 1 = 16 candidates
The Apprentice 2 = 18 candidates
The Apprentice 3 = 18 candidates
The Apprentice 4 = 18 candidates (3 multiple firings)
The Apprentice 5 will be shown in the USA next year. It will feature 18 candidates. The Apprentice 6 is due for filming soon and will be filmed in California and have 16 candidates.
Project Runway is another favourite reality show of mine.
Season 1's candidates: Daniel, Alexandra, Nora, Starr, Wendy, Kara, Jay, Kevin, Austin, Robert, Vanessa, Mario
12 designers, 12 models. Only one will remain "in", 11 others will be "out". Go Kara!
Season 2's designers = Andrae, Chloe, Daniel (returning from season 1), Daniel, Diana, Emmett, Guadalupe (no wonder where I heard this!), Heidi, John, Kara, Kirsten, Marla, Nick, Raymundo, Santino, Zulema
16 designers, 1 big break. Who will make the cut?
