Books, glorious books

Over the past week, I finished reading Eragon. This is the original, not the novelised movie version. Its a pretty interesting read I'd say. It has a rich history, its own language and mysticism. To the critics however, it is Star Wars meets Lord Of The Rings. Eragon is part of the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini, succeeded by Eldest and the last book which is yet to be released. Currently, I'm ploughing through Eldest. The book (Eragon) is great for a weekend's read if you're not too busy.

Episode 3: Camwhores on Singapore Beauty set

Edit: New Pictures added

That's the set and Mr. Farid on screen. He wanted to be on...

Doing the set up. Don't the candles look nice?

Doing the soon to be famous zoom, track and oan shot. Farid agrees with me that he wants to be famous.

Our two production ladies settling things on the above mentioned shot.

The set with Mr. Lee, Mrs. Lee and June Lee ready to bring it on.

Mr. Lee and June Lee laughing over the Chee Kok part probably. And you can see the camera in the shot too.

Dione's dad cooked spaghetti for the shoot. It was nice - really! And he makes his own sauce. Like, wow.

This is preparing for one of the shots. As you can see, we improvised with what we had, using a trolly to track and dolly. Dione is explaining to Jessica the shot and Arisya is just stayin' cool down by the table while Farid checks the shot for framing. Everyone looks busy.

He wanted a picture of him pouring. I did get it, only without his face. So now I owe him some screencaps which I have yet to do. I'll get around to it soon.

This was the "The bus is stopping" look. Kinda comedic eh? One surprised, one apprehensive and one shocked. You guess which is which.

Arisya and I at Simpang. Farid wanted us to look like a couple....... =_=" That was SO NOT happening.

Dione and Farid (I think I look like a celeb here) at Simpang for dinner.

I like this picture. I have no idea why. Maybe cause it looks so casual, un-posed-in. Lol. The word escapes my mind at the moment. Bah. You get what I mean, the opposite of formal.

Anyway, good try Mr. Loh. But I still could recognise the script from American Beauty whether the names were changed or not. And no, Arisya, its not from the dinner scene with the plates being thrown. I checked that one out. Watch the second part of the clip:

Dear Nan,
I wonder how you're doing. Its almost a year now. What a long time it seems. I think I last saw you a year ago. Wow, that's longer than I can remember. But yes, I do miss you and hope that yer good.

Love,
Jono.

Dear bro,
Its been so long since I last talked to you. Over a year I'm sure. Sigh. Your presence is missed greatly.

Love,
Jono.

Thinking

The image above totally doesn't seem to have a link to "thinking". That's the keyword I put into google. Weird eh?

Its also weird of what you can think of when you least expect it. While showering I think of stuff, while chatting I think of stuff. Mr. Andrew and I were chatting today, about New York and such. And somehow or other, the topic of shooting came about. I said there's no need for anyone to really have a reason to shoot. Its whether they choose to or not. How the heck did I think of that?

And while showering I think about age. There's the life cycle of a human being. Baby, toddler, child, adolescent, adult, elderly. And then I thought about the mindsets. Its weird being a teenager. Sometimes you think and act so much like an adult. And at other times, totally like a child. I guess that's why that particular age group has been given many names. We're sort of in betweens eh? From there it just made me realise that I am fast speeding towards my last year of teen-hood.

I waste too much time thinking obviously.

Mom was all over the place and yelling at me when I got home. Later she was upset. So I just wanna thank all of those who've helped me out the past few days to chill and destress. Ifah, Phyllis, and others. Not to mention the one. You guys know who you are. So a BIG THANK YOU to y'all.

Loads of photos

Episode 2: Attack of the camwhores at Mesh's 2nd party

Birthday cake!

Girl power? Cawoines, Xin Le, Meshy Maro and Regina.

The trying-too-hard-to-be-poster-models crowd. A.k.a. "The Geek", "The Guy", "The Drama Mama" & "The Emo Dancer".

See what the CCTV caught on camera? 4 girls making faces at it!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode 1: Camwhores at Rochester Park

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Cause we were here... Psycho... 4th May 2007. At a motel near you.

Welcome to Bates Motel's Main Office. Nice counter eh? Go on, disagree with me.

Spooky Cabin #1 of Bates Motel.
Scene of murder in the shower.
Victim: Ms. Mary.

Its sad to see the house in such a state. I am against comercialisation of such a nice place to stay in!! No commercialisation.

Our actress and production crew girl setting up Bates Motel's Main Office counter. Wanna guess what its made from?

Camera Rolling!
3, 2, 1, ACTION!
*This is just a re-enactment.

Arisya with the HD camera. Remember, resolution is 729 x 1080. =))

Yours truly being a real poser....

Fantabulous Ms Mary taking a turn at looking professional.

Finally, Mr. Norman Bates looking good with the camera in hand. How's that eh?

Filming Psycho was rather fun apart from the numerous mosquito attacks. Hahah! It took quite some getting use to the HD camera though. That thang is heavy.

Survivor goes to....

Next season is Survivor season 15. As you can see, it will be called Survivor: China. On screen, the logo looked fantastic. As a regular image, it looks kind of cheesy and maybe a little overdone. Interesting concept to use the Great Wall as the border in place of the usual oval this time, but I don't really like it. Also notice that "Outwit", "Outplay" and "Outlast" are written in Chinese this time.

Survivor: Fiji has come to an end. And good riddance too. That wasn't exactly a season I'd watch again (Unlike Survivor: Cook Islands).

Episode 13
RC: Yau-Man (transfered to Dre), Stacy, Boo
Exile: Yau-Man
IC: Boo
Booted: Stacy
Immunity idol: Yau-Man

Episode 12
RC: Boo, Yau-Man, Dre
Exile: Earl
IC: Boo
Booted: Alex

Episode 11
RC: Earl, Dre, Stacy, Alex
Exile: Boo
IC: Stacy
Booted: Mookie

I can't wait to watch Heroes on the other hand. Awesome series.

Okay, I'm in school and have to use the school coms to update. Survivor: Fiji is over and I think the winner deserved it. Survivor: China is next but I wanna watch Heroes and Pirate Master during the "dry" season.
Recap of what's been going on. Projects, projects, assignment, projects. That's the story of my life... My boring, boring life... Aight, will update more later.

Weirdness

Okay, there's something wrong with either:
1) My computer
2) Blogger
today. Everything is out of alignment. So I'm just going to say that I watched Spider-Man 3 today. And I'm feeling kinda up-and-down. You should get the drift. More to come when everything on the net seems normal.

Not Dreamgirls, its Birthdaygirls

I found that on one site under the search for "depressing" on google. Year 3 is depressing and Arisya agrees. But Dione will never fail to make me laugh. Yesterday's sushi and today's class. Yesterday she panicked when Farid played not being able to get the tamago sushi in time. Today she acted her usual self, kind of blur. Lol. I wrote down PSDFT2A01 on the book out sheet. She asked why we were 2A since we're year 3. Lol, its cause SDFTV has only 2 years. Hahaha. I love my spec dip group.

Today we went for a class lunch with the exception of the absentees and uh, one person. It was fun though, cept some people forgot there was a scheduled class lunch. Lol. Nevermind, we'll definitely have more of these things la. But yeah, it was to celebrate the birthdaygirls' birthdays. 28 April and 9 May to be exact, but we celebrated it on 3 May instead. Haha. About a week late and a week early? Anyway, hope the two of them had a good celebration.

Before the blowout. Get ready to blow and make a wish. Okay, they're making a wish. Nice cake eh?

Great shot Zhili! One candle out and one still lit! Whoo!

Okay, so now turn and smile. Wide. *Snap* There you have it, the birthdaygirls.

Best friends Harold and Kumar Carol and Kamesh. And for once Carol has opened eyes! Yay!

That's Ifah and Arisya. Ifah was trying to copy Carol's minimalist eye-style when taking pictures. Lol.

By the way, I think this should be for Regina: http://www.toothpastefordinner.com/tfd-archives/tfdarchive-jan05.php

Okay, enough randomness. Back to the birthdaygirls. Here's Arisya doing the honours.

Uhh, more pictures to pimp out the friendster account? Posing with "Happy Birthday" and the chocolate star.

Another day, another picture. Mr. Farid asked me to take a picture of the Starbucks logo like this.

But I prefer the old Coffee Bean picture... No offence Arisya!

These are the Tako-yaki balls. Taaaako.... Mmmm.. From Sakae yesterday. Yum yum. Too bad we only had one plate of taaaaaaakkko-yaki.

I'm so tempted to go write "Here your sushee, and your wasahbee.." But that's some unagi sushi. Xin Le can tell you the exact name that I cannot.

Fried tofu! Yum again! Love love love the Sakae fried tofu.

They found Sadam Hussein (reincarnated) and Osama Bin Laden sitting in Sakae Sushi Wheelock place. Okay, that ends the pictorial guide of my life in the past two days. Now, go away?
